Weird, wild, wacky, and totally out of control! Craziest and most fun book of 2024. This book started out crazy and never stopped. There is some type of world apocalypse and our hero? finds himself in a real life video game…with his cat??!!?! Told you it was crazy! I thought it was fun and I think if you are a gamer or a fan of gamer type movies then you will love this book. As an example-I liked the Jumanji movies with The Rock. And Ready Player One was awesome. Carl has a similar vibe-kind of snarky and wondering what the heck is going on but just carrying on and working it out. So, I did enjoy reading this book and once I got past the first couple of chapters and got into the groove of the way Dinniman tells his story, it was good. There were places so off the wall I had to put the book down to laugh and ask myself “did I just read what I thought I did?” As always, I need to let you know I was given a copy of this book but this rather convoluted mess is my own opinion!
